I was quite surprised at just how quickly my baby grew up and started to become interested in all sorts of things. During early development, my infant became quite interested in books, even though he was unable to read at the time.
Books for babies should focus on keeping your infant visually entertained. That means fun pictures and sometimes even a popup or two. If you’re looking to entertain your baby with a great book, then these are all great starters you should consider – they are fun and some of them offers a few elements of education.
Coolplay Baby’s First Non-Toxic Soft Cloth Book Set
“Bought these for my 2 month old son. Exactly what I expected, no complaints. Good deal for the price. Maybe not the best baby books I’ve ever seen but they’ll get the job done. Soft, crinkly pages, lots of colors. Had to laugh at the seahorse being labeled as “hippocampus”, very official for a newborn.” — Amazon Customer
Let’s Count: The Very Hungry Caterpillar Baby
“My babygirl loves this book! I bought it for her when she was around 3 months & she loved it then & still loves it now, at almost 6 months! She chews on it & plays w it alot. It’s really easy to clean & durable. There’s no signs of wear or tear on ours yet. It’s such a fun lil toy/book. It’s also educational bc you can teach baby the colors & numbers that are on the book. I would recommend this for every parent for their baby.” — Destiny
teytoy My First Soft Book
“Bought these right after my daughter was born and she had absolutely loved them since day one! She is absolutely amazed by them and my 4 year old “reads” them to her daily. They are in every room of our house and I absolutely recommend these and any black and white activities and books for babies!” — Ashley Nichols
My First Book of Baby Signs
“So while this book all on its own is amazing at showing and describing the signs (that alone would give it 5 stars) what I was pleasantly surprised by is how much diversity this book has. This is hands down the most inclusive book I’ve ever seen. It hits every mark and is amazing. 100/10” — Delaney
If Animals Kissed Good Night
“Cute book! It’s about how each animal would kiss goodnight if they kissed like we kiss. Pretty illustrations! My son loves that there are a lot of different animals in this book. I love reading to my children, this is a great addition to our book collection!” — KC
Welcome to the World
“Very sweet book with a nice page in the front for messages. I also love that there is a matching older sibling book.” — Amazon Customer
Indestructibles: The Itsy Bitsy Spider
“At first i thought my lil guy should be a product tester for these and he really was trying to rip the pages and tear them off….and it’s just impossible! the stories are just short nursery rhymes, but the pages are very colorful with very cute illustrations! love that they’re easy to wipe clean and keep my baby entertained for a few minutes more than a traditional board book!” — Amazon Customer
Love You Forever
“I never knew the real meaning behind the book for many years. My oldest son is 14. I have been reading it for that long as I have a 6 & 3 yr old as well. I cry every single time. Every time. I just bought it for my friends who are expecting their first. I hope it touches them as it did me.” — Andria Jones
The Wonderful Things You Will Be
“I purchased this for my 3 year old granddaughter. I lived with her for a year and moved recently. Wanted her to have something special from me and this book is perfect. The illustrations are beautiful and I hope she will think of me when she looks at it. Thank you!” — Amazon Customer
Goodnight Moon
“As a teacher, this is one of my favorite books to give at baby showers. Rhyming is the first step to becoming a good reader, so this book of rhyming pages is perfect to get children on there way. I loved reading it to my own children because it has such a calming rhythm and the pictures are simple. As they were getting a little older they could look for the mouse hiding on the pages as they snuggled in my lap.” — Amazon Customer
