by Shiloh Onyx

Sleep is an important part of my life. It helps my body recover from a hard day at work, an intense workout, and makes me feel ready for the next morning. With insomnia, lights that are left on, and several other factors, it can be quite tough to sleep well.

A few sleep gadgets can make a big difference in how you enjoy your time out at night. Not sure which sleep gadgets will work for you? Consider the reasons why you can’t sleep well, then look for the solution among these recommendations.

Bluetooth Eye Mask

“This product makes it so easy to fall asleep to music. I am usually a side sleeper. Since I prefer to listen to music to help fall asleep, the other headphones that I have are too bulky to be able to lay on my side, making it uncomfortable. I was excited upon receiving this BT headband, because not only did it allow me to lay on my side to fall asleep, it helped keep my hair off my face and neck! I connected my phone to this BT, and had no trouble connecting. Would highly recommend this product.” — Hannamae Greenfield

Soft Bluetooth Headband

“I’ve purchased a few of these and the quality has not changed. I use them when I’m working out or sleeping. The headband is not too tight and it’s comfortable to sleep in. Definitely helps if your significant other can’t sleep with TV or music on…this is a great compromise. You can remove the cords for easy washing. Buy them!” — Brooklyn

Dodow Sleep Aid Device

“I bought the Dodow for my mother who had significant problems falling asleep. She had tried many different things for her insomnia but nothing worked until she tried the Dodow! She just loves it, she is 82 years old and finds it very easy to use and within a few days saw a difference. She has been using it for the past 2 months and has seen significant improvement in her sleeping pattern. She falls asleep much more quickly and, if she wakes up in the middle of the night and can’t get back to sleep, she turns on the Dodow and within a short period of time she falls back to sleep. We are so happy to have discovered the Dodow and highly recommend it.” — Edith

Knee Pillow for Side Sleepers

“This pillow is wonderful for me, it is small and comfortable, I can take it with me on a trip. I’m happy.” — Donatella

Hatch Rest+ Baby Sound Machine

“I have the original Rest and really like using it as a nightlight and sound machine. Bought the new version so I could have the clock and don’t have to look at my phone. I have a hard time sleeping in complete silence so I figured I would upgrade from leaving a fan on all night. I personally like the forest and white noise sounds the most. The touch ring on the top makes it easy to turn on and off, which is nice for when I get up in the middle of the night. I have prime and I got it the same day which was awesome! Tried it out last night and am loving it so far.” — James

Manta Sleep Light Blocking Eye Mask

“I’ve tried several sleep masks and the Manta was buy far the best for me. After some experimentation I was able to get the eye cups positioned correctly and now no light gets in. I have a large head and the other masks I tried let in some light. Also, I’m not a still sleeper and I tend to lay on my side resulting in other masks coming off during the night. The Manta stays on securely all night. The only minor issue I have is that the cups can be a little bit warm, but the benefits far out way this small drawback.” — Joshua

Sleep Sound Machine

“We’ve had a few different sleep machines over the years and this is by far the best we’ve had. It has great features, like turning off the display lights and saving the volume setting, but I think the sound quality and recordings are the best reasons to buy this machine. The sound really fills the area and even sounds “separated”, like the birds almost sound like they’re coming from a different part of the room. There are plenty of sounds to choose from. I like the feature of being able to add more elements to the same sound with the “richness” feature. For example, you can have a meadow sound with soft wind and crickets or you can juice it up with birds added and a stronger wind. It gives you more options with essentially the same basic sound. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a high quality machine!” — Bryan

Diamond Weighted Blanket

“I really didn’t understand why my wife would bundle up with four blankets in Florida and then turn fan on because she was hot. I saw an advertisement for a blanket like this and it all made sense. I bought her one. She was unimpressed and skeptical when she saw it. Now she will not sleep without it and most nights I don’t have that damn fan blowing on me all night…this is great.” — Bea

Hatch Restore

“I’m a huge fan of Hatch products and was really excited to hear they have a product specifically for adults now. Since quarantine started i’ve been trying to spruce up my room. I really like how I can use this as a light when I need to get up in the middle of the night. I sleep with white noise or rain sounds almost every night and I find the sounds to be relaxing. Definitely worth investing in good quality sleep.” — James

Kӧlbs Wedge Pillow

“Very nice wedge pillow. It came rolled in a package but opened up to the full size in about an hour. It offers good support, it doesn’t flatten out, but at the same time it is soft and comfortable. I originally got it to read in bed, but I find myself sleeping with it as well. I got both the standard size and the extra wide. The extra wide is REALLY big, I took a picture of the 2 next to each other so you can get a feel of how large the extra wide is. If you have a standard bed go with the regular size, if you have a queen or king bed I would say go for the extra width. It is worth it. Also found the cover to be soft and has a smooth feel to it.” — Amazon Customer
