A good pair of mittens may easily last you an entire season. Whether you need a pair for simply commuting to work, or you want one for winter sports or activities, how you put them to use will determine what kind of mitten or glove you choose – lightweight or heavy duty, waterproof, windproof and so on. Here are some warm mittens that will keep you from cold.

“Nice mittens. Used them for 2 hours at 0°F and they kept me warm. The thumbs are usually a problem with me but these performed well. They are also holding up well while snow shoveling. They show no signs of wear at this point. The only problem that I have is with my rough, chapped hands that hang up on the lining. This is typical of all the gloves that I have ever had. It’s fixable with a generous dose of hand cream before I put them on. If the mitten gnomes snatch them away from me, I will buy this exact pair again!” — Cornelius

“I love these gloves! In my job I use a touchscreen scanner. I have tried the many “touch sensitive” gloves currently available and found they only work about a third of the time. These gloves off the ability to use my touchscreen device 100% of the time and still keep my hands warm. With the attached “pouch” it’s so easy to cover my fingertips quickly and with the inner lining my hands stay warm. Highly recommend these gloves to anyone who uses a touchscreen device!!!” — Dave
Women’s Winter Mittens
“These mittens kept my hands so warm! I usually wear gloves, and always have cold hands. These were great! We were at a Steelers football game and it was 12 degrees. My other family members had gloves and kept having to use handwarmers inside their gloves. Not me. Not once did my hands get cold. Love these mittens!!” — Albert
Winter Ski Mittens for Men & Women
“I am very pleased with my new mittens. I live in Northwest Montana and spend hours outside in sub-zero weather, plowing snow, cutting firewood, etc. Gloves just don’t cut it on really cold days, so I ordered these mittens. They are just what I wanted. My hands stay warm and they appear to be very well constructed. I especially like the self adjustable wrist. Most gloves and mittens have knit elastic wrists which can tend to cut down on circulation which results in colder hands. These loose wrists, if I so choose to adjust them loose, allow good circulation to my hands and result in much warmer hands. When, and if, I wear these out I’ll definitely get another pair.” — Faith
Carhartt Women’s Insulated Breathable Mitten
“Great gloves even for someone like me, who always has a problem keeping my fingers warm enough to not freeze! I have small hands, small but long fingers, and I’ve had frostbite in the past, so I must be very careful in the cold. These gloves are the absolute best gloves that I have ever had. I still need to have mittens available for when my fingers get really cold, but I’ve worn these today, with zero temps and below zero wind chill, and i’ve been fine for over twenty minutes. That’s a record. Going forward, we will see. Perhaps I will be able to update.” — Customer

“I bought 3 pairs of these mittens. I can’t report on how warm they are now since it’s only Sept. but I say that by looking at them and trying them on, they are thicker and warm my hands very fast now than do my older and thinner mittens which did a pretty good job in the brutal winters here in the mountains of PA. So, having said that, I am pretty sure that when wearing these mittens outside in the snow or just the cold of winter, my hands and fingers will be warm. They are thickly lined and that includes the thumb!” — Donna

“My daughter has tiny hands for her age, but refuses to wear mittens. I bought these to try out and she managed with them (soft inside helped). Adjustor strap was long enough to tighten down on her. Seams look to be strong, they will last for a long time. Overall pleased with them.” — Jalynn
Satinior 3 Pairs Toddler Mittens
“I have one year olds, and I like going outside in the winter with them. I bought a couple other more expensive mittens that were warmer, etc., But they did not work. I ended up using these all winter. On cold days, I would double mitten. I think these work the best for this age. Next year, I’m guessing I will need something more waterproof, but for one year olds, who don’t stay outside that long, these Are perfect.” — Lori
TrailHeads Power Stretch Convertible Mitten
“I work outside and wanted some gloves that would allow me dexterity while keeping most of my hand warm. I also wanted a good fit. Knit nor leather have worked. I saw these, thought they were a bit expensive, but read the description and crossed my fingers. At first glance I wasn’t impressed. A bit thin. I tried them on. Hmm, nice and snug, a good fit. Went to work. Oh my! These gloves work wonderfully! I even put them on cold hands, and my hands got warm! Not sweaty, just comfortable. I really am impressed. They are more than worth price.” — Michele

“Husband had a pair of these he had worn out and wanted another pair exactly like them. These were it. We have a farm, and he’s outside, a lot, in cold weather. These keep his hands warm without a lot of bulk.” — Customer
