- There is one way to homeschool
- Children between 5-15 of age must be in school
- You DO NOT need to notify your local school district of your intentions
- There are NO teacher qualifications
- There ARE state mandated subjects
- There are NO required assessments or testing
- There are NO immunization requirements
How to Homeschool in Guam
- Understand that in Guam homeschools operate under the private instruction statute
- There are the regulations that you need to do in order to follow the private instruction statue:
a) Provide instruction for at least 3 hours a day for 170 days each calendar year
b) Instruction must be in English
c) Include the following subjects that are also taught in the public schools of Guam:
- Social studies
- Math
- Science
- Language arts
- Physical education
- Health
- Music
- Art
- Computer education
