Must-Read Books For Kids Of All Ages

by Shalom Onyx

Finding a good book for your kids to read can be quite a decision. Your child will only be interested if it is visually appealing, fun to read and easy to understand. Storybooks aside, you as parents should also keep a lookout for books for your kids to learn from.

Some of these recommendations are new releases but some of these are timeless classics that you and I have also read in our childhood. The kind that gets handed down by siblings and passed around in classes – we’ve listed down the top 10 must-reads that have the power to hook you on.

Best of Children’s Classics Collection

“A super gift for kids, my daughter was overjoyed with all the books.” — Customer

Curious George Classic Collection

“The collection arrived quickly, and came in wonderful condition. The quality of the hardcovers are excellent, as well as the sleeve that the collection comes in! My son is currently having fun slipping the books in and out of the sleeve, and was so excited that I had to read him every book the collection came with, of course his stuffed Curious George had to be in his arms the entire time. I am one happy Momma!” — Tiffany

Dr. Seuss’s Beginner Book Collection

“Great books. Love the rhythm of the words to hold babies interest when read to. Used with my daughter 38 yrs ago and gave them away. Bought these for my new grandbaby 3 months old and she is mesmerized. Price was great so I order these and also ordered the ABC book and the Foot Book from another seller as I had to have those in addition to this boxed set. They are the full sized books.” — Spacey

Roald Dahl Collection

“I bought this set for my twin sons who are 2 months shy turning 10 years old. The set got here yesterday so I had them pick a book each to write a book report on due by Tuesday morning. I’m not sure if they were happy about that… but, when they started reading they both couldn’t put it down and they both finished their books in 1 sitting. They laughed & laughed and kept running to me wanting to tell me what happened. I am happy with the purchase so yes I would recommend to others.” — Terri

Diary Of A Wimpy Kid Collection

“My son absolutely love this set. He is 9 years old. He received it for his birthday. Arrived just on time, well package! Absolutely love how happy he is with these books. I even started reading the books my self!” — Nancy

Junie B. Jones’s First Boxed Set Ever

“I have to laugh at the people that said they enjoyed these books when they were young but now they don’t want to read them to their children it didn’t seem to hurt them growing up …I think it opens a topic to your children to say that Julie is using a bad choice of words and she’s a naughty little girl so this gives us an opportunity speak to our children so they understand there are people like this in the world and there always will be . I love the books and I love reading them to my grandchildren and when I do read them I shake my head and I say that Junie is a bad girl isn’t she? All of us have had thoughts like that through our young years so why do we pretend that we don’t..” — Customer

Amelia Bedelia I Can Read Box Set

“I loved these as a kid so I bought them for my grandchildren. These are picture books about a housekeeper who takes her instructions literally. For instance, she’s asked to dust the tables and proceeds to literally put dust in them. This series is great for teaching children philosophy. *There is an actual statue of Amelia Badelia in the Manning South Carolina public library. (Hometown to the author)” — Customer

12 Beloved Disney Classic Little Golden Books

“Our grandson is 2 and not yet actually reading, but he knows what he likes, requests parents or grandparents to read to him. As a book is read, he participates, by saying aloud lines that he remembers from previous readings. Typical behavior for a 2 year old, I realize, but it is owning his own set of books, choosing which to read, and participation during the reading that demonstrates an interest in reading, the most important stepping-stone toward independent reading and further education. This is a great set for a child’s first set of books.” — Customer

Clifford® All Year Pack

“Came way before expected, all in great condition! Clifford is a classic and I loved him and my son LOVES Clifford (mainly because he’s a dog). This holiday pack was a big plus!” — Olivia

Charlotte’s Web, Stuart Little, The Trumpet of the Swan Set

“Charlotte’s Web was the first chapter book I read, WAY back in the 1980s when I was in the 1st grade. When my own kids were in the 1st grade I decided we should all read it together. It was just as wonderful as I remembered. Though I did remember it being sad, I did not read it that first time with the perspective of a mom and I won’t lie, I was a sobbing, blubbering idiot by the end. We will read Trumpet of the Swan next. Hopefully I can keep it together enough to get through that one.”
