So whatever kind you prefer, there are a whole bunch of options for you to buy. You can go through the list below to find the best pencils.

Basics Woodcased Pencil

“I’m very impressed with these pencils. Being a Math teacher we go through a lot of pencils. On a side note I’m a true pencil snob…. love my Ticonderoga pencils keeping those pencils for testing only. Definitely buying more Amazon pencils and the eraser is not bad at all. It erased completely and didn’t leave that annoying smudge.” — Customer

TICONDEROGA Pencils

“The best pencils that money can buy! As a teacher, I know my office supplies. In fact, I think a love of office supplies is a prerequisite for becoming a teacher. As you can expect, we go through a lot of pencils in my classroom. These pencils sharpen well (you don’t need to stand at the sharpener for ten minutes because it keeps breaking while sharpening) and the eraser is great! It’s not a smudgy eraser, and it doesn’t break off when it is used. If you are still not sure about buying these pencils, see a teacher’s eyes light up when you mention Ticonderoga pencils. I guarantee these are their favorites, and they feel as passionately about these pencils as I do. Plus, this deal on Amazon is absolutely amazing. So, make a teacher’s day, and buy these pencils for their classroom. You will automatically be a favorite in their book.” — Customer

BIC Mechanical Pencil

“My kids use a lot of pencils in school, so this was a good deal to have so many. It will last the whole school year I hope. These are much more convenient than regular pencils that have to be sharpened. My kids would lose their little sharpeners and of course it’s a distraction to sharpen a pencil in class. So we prefer mechanical pencils. I buy Bic all the time and my kids say the pencils work great. The thicker lead is best for younger kids who tend to press too hard when they write. Older kids usually like the thinner lead better, so this variety is nice.” — Rena

SharpWriter Mechanical Pencils

“These are SO GOOD. I love mechanical pencils but they always snap off. These are great because there’s a little spring inside that gives as you write. It’s a little unwieldy at first because of the learning curve of rolling the tip of the pencil to let the lead through—and it looks like more lead than you think you should have exposed, but you have to remember 1/2 of it will spring back into the pencil as you write. No snapped leads and you maintain the lovely point that naturally develops as you wear it down.” — Manda

Rainbow Pencils

“I saw the advertised pictures and read reviews so I knew there weren’t erasers. I bought white eraser tops separately. These will make great birthday goody bag gifts for my kid’s classmates. The rainbow color is pretty. I ordered four sets.” — Customer

Premium Quality Neon Pencils

“I used this product to cut down on the time spent with students getting up to sharpen their pencils. When one needs sharpening, I exchange it for a new pencil, and then sharpen the dull ones later. The pencils were of good quality wood and didn’t break when they were sharpened, or whittle down to nothing as some do. Good product!” — Customer

Creative Studio Graphite Sketch Pencil

“These are a great small basic set of graphite sketch pencils. The metal tin provides decent protection for traveling. All the pencils came pre-sharpened to a very nice and pointy tip. The pencils themselves work great as expected. This would be a great set for beginners.” — Customer

Colorful Cartoon Animal Pencil

“So I bought these pencils for my 5 yr old and absolutely love them. The erasers come off to erase which works. Definitely recommend.” — Customer

Raymond Geddes Incentive Pencils

“Really good pencils. I haven’t had any problems with breaking lead while sharpening or writing and the kids love the bright colors. Now if only other kids would stop outright taking, “acquiring”, and/or “borrowing” them with no intention of returning them, it would be even better! But thankfully, they are priced well enough to afford more by the next school year. And at least having different pencils, my kids can play ‘I Spy Who Took My Pencil” when they are bored in class!” — Customer

Wood-Cased #2 HB Pencils by Madisi

“These pencils have been amazing to have in my classroom. They come pre-sharpened so it’s easy to pass out at the beginning of class when students need a pencil without taking time away for them to sharpen. They are good quality pencils and erasers. No complaints!” — Mellissa Harris
